A fair copy in Samuel Ireland's autograph of a comic opera which appears never to have been produced. The piece is not given an actual title but is referred to in letters (see below) as The flitch of bacon. In an autograph note in another manuscript (D.a.81), William Henry Ireland says his father named the piece The matrimonial relish, and that Bate Dudley's Flitch of bacon was a plagiarism of it.
